Guitarist Jin Soo Kim presents his third full-length album, Aspiration, twelve years after his previous release. The album brings together instrumental pieces that had previously been released as singles or EPs, along with four newly written compositions, forming a newly compiled full-length work.<\/p>\n

With the exception of three studio recordings\u2014Float, Hero, and A Life Unfolding\u2014the remaining tracks are drawn from live performances recorded in concert settings. These recordings were\u00a0captured at different moments between 2017 and 2025, each featuring a different rhythm section, offering a range of ensemble colors across the album.
\nAs a whole, Aspiration serves both as a document of Jin Soo Kim\u2019s musical path over the past decade as a performer and composer, and as a work that captures the immediacy and spontaneity of live improvisational performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 12 tracks included on this album were recorded between 2017 and 2025. With the exception of Tracks 2, 10, and 11, all of them are live performance recordings.<\/p>\n
